U-Step

The U-Step was designed to increase independence and eliminate falling among those with neurological conditions. The leading-edge features of the U-Step, as compared to other walking aids, make it superior by providing more stability, manoeuvrability and control. The U-Step is a unique design with seven wheels so it is ultra-stable, it was designed specifically for people with neurological conditions.

Features:

Postural Correction: The U-shaped frame surrounds the patient’s centre of gravity, encouraging a more upright posture and reducing the tendency to shuffle (festination).
Postural Instability: The U-Step is designed to provide greater postural stability helping to prevent and reduce falls. Users also feel safer because of the U-shaped design that surrounds them while walking. Many users have reported that they feel as stable as holding another person’s arm. The anti-tip wheels on the U-Step add extra stability and ensure the user won’t fall backwards.
Manoeuvrability: The U-Step also boasts a unique wheel configuration, which enables it to have a very tight turning circle (29 inches /74 cm) making it more manoeuvrable in small spaces such as toilets. The patented spring-loaded front caster wheel system glides easily over uneven surfaces. The U-Step can be used both inside and outside.
Comfort: The U-Step has a comfortable padded seat and backrest, this is ideal for situations where a break from walking may be required. There is a small basket under the seat for added convenience.
Easily Transported: Folding the U-Step is simple. Release the locking clips, lift the release lever by the seat and pull up on the seat support to fold the U-Step. It fits in the boot or back seat of most cars and should you require it to be smaller, you can remove the backrest and lower the handles without tools.
If you have gait freezing or gait ignition failure such as in Parkinson’s Disease and other Parkinsonian conditions as well as in other Neurological Disorders such as cerebrovascular disease, the U-Step can be supplied with an optional Laser Visual Cueing System.

Optional Extras:

Laser and Audio Cueing Module - US002 Model. The laser projects a line onto the ground in front of the user acting as a visual cue to help trigger the first walking step, break freezing episodes, and increase stride length. The U-Step 2 also includes an audio cue. This version also provides an audio beep to assist with walking, with 15 speeds ranging from 59 to 130 beats per minute.
The U-Step with gutter arms if required - US201 model. Ideally suited to those with limited grip strength, the Rollator can be fitted with two soft, comfortable forearm troughs that take the majority of the user’s weight instead of it being carried by the hands and wrists.
The gutter arms are height and angle adjustable, this means they can be completely customised to suit a specific users requirement. Recommended user height 5'0" - 5'9" (152-175 cm)

YOUR SHIPPING AND DELIVERY POLICY

We use a courier service for all our deliveries, this ensures your order is delivered to you in perfect condition. All items are delivered unassembled. If assembly is required, please see our engineered delivery below.
We deliver orders to any desired address.
We deliver from Monday to Friday. We do not deliver on Saturday or Sunday.
The cost of shipping is €9.95 per order on items under €100. Free delivery will apply on all orders over €100 that are delivered by courier.
The expected delivery time will depend on the stock levels. We will always ship out orders as soon as is practicable. We will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure these times are met, but cannot be held responsible for dispatched parcels delayed by third parties, for example due to poor weather conditions.

Item in stock: next day delivery. In instances where an item appears in stock on our website but is not available for some reason, a full refund will be offered on a no-hassle basis.
Available to order: Products will be delivered within 7-10 working days.
Specialised item: can vary from 4 – 6 weeks.

Engineered Delivery: If you order a large item like a bed that will need to be delivered, installed and demonstrated this will incur an engineered delivery charge of €130. You will be informed of any additional costs at the time of ordering. Engineered delivery can also be purchased if you would like products like riser recliners or scooters delivered, assembled and demonstrated. We are happy to offer this service when needed.

Where there are unexpected delays you will be contacted by a member of our customer service and will be advised of this situation.
If you do not receive your order within 15 working days, please contact us by email or phone, details are on our home page.
We will replace lost or damaged orders free of charge.
It is our policy to operate a fair and transparent ordering process.

RETURNS POLICY

Beechfield Healthcare Ltd makes every effort to ensure products arrive in perfect condition. However in the unlikely event of a product arriving damaged, customers should contact Customer Services within a reasonable time of receipt and return the package within a reasonable time, for a replacement to be sent.

If you find your purchase is unsatisfactory, we are happy to exchange items or refund your credit/debit card, provided the goods are returned to us within 7 days of their receipt, in the original undamaged packaging, and in a re-saleable condition. We regret, however, that we cannot, in this case, refund the delivery and the return postage costs.

For hygiene purposes, we cannot accept returns on toileting, incontinence, showering, or bedding products. We can only accept CPAP mask returns that are unopened and unused.

If you have not received your order within 28 working days from the despatch date, customers should contact Customers Services. If we are unable to locate the missing product a replacement will be sent.
