Beechfield Healthcare Send Wheelchairs To Gaza

Beechfield Healthcare yesterday provided fifty manual wheelchairs to aid the people of Gaza.

In conjunction with the HSE and via the Red Cross, the wheelchairs began their journey from the Beechfield warehouse in Portlaoise yesterday and are now headed to assist the people of Gaza.

Speaking about this, Trevor Flanagan Managing Director of Beechfield Healthcare stated “We have all seen the news reports, the damage, the suffering and the injuries to the people of Gaza. We’re very fortunate that we’re in a position to assist and when asked, the staff of Beechfield agreed unanimously that we should do something to help. So on behalf of Beechfield Healthcare, we sincerely hope these wheelchairs help to make a difference to peoples lives.”

The fifty wheelchairs, which are a mix of self-propel and transit are from the Van Os Excel and Drive Medical ranges offered through-out All Ireland by Beechfield and have a retail value ranging from €595 to €199 each.

At a time of financial pressure and cut-backs through-out the medical products and healthcare sector in Ireland, it is good to see that from The Red Cross and staff of the HSE, to companies such as Beechfield Healthcare; that people care enough, to find the time, resources and good will to assist others in their time of need.
